Railroad Track Risk Management
|
$5K ARC Derailment Warranty 2009*.
ARC warrantees all track labor work for 2 years from the date of the
track inspection, regardless of the railroad contractor that does the
track work providing, ARC “Makes the call,” by doing the inspections
to determine the track work needed if any & post repair/construction
track inspection, if required.
1) Allen Railroad Consulting will perform two complete Railroad Track
Safety Inspection Report and file it with your company.
2) ARC will do two additional periodic checks per year to see that
your company's track stays in good shape. These checks are called
drop-byes. ARC will contact you 24 hours before we will be in the area.
If you do not want a follow up inspection at that time, we will contact
you the next time we are going to be in the area.
3) If the results of our first inspection reveals that repairs are
needed, ARC will use one drop-by as a Pre-Construction consultation with
the contractor who will be doing the work. The other drop-by will be
used as a Post-Construction consultation to see that the work was
completed as proposed. Your company may also use a drop-by to reactivate
a section of track that has not been used for a while (a FRA
requirement).
4) The FRA requires that a Railroad Track Safety
Inspection be performed in the case of any unforeseen change in your
railroad track condition. The FRA describes these changes as in the case
of, incident reports or special reports relating to flood, fire or other
such incident. Your company may call us out at anytime for these
reports. These reports are intended to be used to file a claim with your
company's insurance carrier, FEMA or other use.

When
Railroad track repair or track construction is needed there are
dozens of railroad contractor companies you can call on. And when a
company needs the services of a railroad contractor they can get
dozen of different ideas as to what track work is needed and how it
should be done.
As
it is in sports, we all know the players, but few of us know the
referees. Unless your company has someone that actually works in the
railroad business, how does the company know they are getting done
what actually needs to be done, not more or not less.
ARC
can make the right call!
For
the price of a track inspection, ARC will determine what your track
needs done, no matter which railroad contractor does the work, using
ARC’s more than 35 years experience providing technical track
inspections; not inspections based on just doing the work.
While
a track contractor can spend 20 years and never know why they change
the tie or rail that they change. Technical track inspectors are the
ones who know why the particular ties and rails are being changed.
Most railroad contractor’s track inspectors have never been
technically trained. All ARC Track Inspectors are technically
trained. ARC Track Inspectors training program results are available
to any company that asks for them. Sure most contractors know how to
do good track work, but determining what actually needs to be done
is not their job. ARC is so confident in our service that:
ARC
warrantees all track labor work for 2 years
regardless
of the railroad contractor that does the track work providing, ARC
“Makes the call,” by doing the inspections to determine the
track work needed & post track inspection.
